QATAR TRADE DELEGATION PROGRAM WAS HELD
Turkish Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters Association held a trade mission to Doha, Qatar on 7-11th May 2018, as part of the “Global Trends and New Markets in Turkish Ornamental Plants Sector” project.  
Trade mission program started with “The Qatari & Turkish Horticulture Forum” on 8th of May. The Qatari & Turkish Horticulture Forum, where over 15 Qatari companies and 17 Turkish ornamental plants exporter companies came together to establish new business relations in this market in demand, was initiated by H.E. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Rumaihi, State of Qatar’s Minister of Municipality and Environment and Fikret Özer, Turkish Ambassador of Doha. Following the country presentations, development possibilities on the future of ornamental plants trade were discussed in the forum.
Trade mission program included official visits to 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar’s grass production area, the main nursery of Ministry of Municipality and Environment and some Qatari company sites on     9-10th of May. Wholesalers and importers were visited during the program where Turkish delegates had chance to get knowledge of imported and mostly consumed ornamental plant varieties in market.
